Amazing, gorgeous, perfect

Cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this little retreat is you must book to find out yourself. If you’re wanting to get away from it all and dive into luxury here’s your place xx

This is a fabulous little place in a lovely location!

Very clean with everything you need for a getaway! There is a beautiful nature reserve walk a few mins walk up the road, the local shop and pub is also only a few mins walk away. All the locals were very friendly and chatty. The Malteasers pub was fab, plenty of choice for food and drinks and dog friendly too. Jane and her family were very helpful and friendly, fab hosts and their dogs are just gorgeous! We were blessed with lush sunny weather as well! Great little stay!!! Thank you Jane!

We will 100% be back!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in July and absolutely loved it. It was immaculately clean with plenty of little finishing touches and attention to detail. The downstairs kitchen is small but totally fine for cooking simple meals – there is a hob and a microwave. The bedroom is upstairs and looks over the broads on one side and fields on the other. The bed is huge and really comfortable. We also had the hot tub which was definitely worth it. It’s really well situated close to several pubs, the broads where you can hire a boat and to the coast. It’s also close to London so not a huge drive for us to get to. Jane was the perfect host and made us feel very at home. We will 100% be back!!

  Spotless, comfortable and beautiful

Myself and partner stayed at the boat house for 4 nights for my partner’s birthday in August. Jane included many thoughtful touches, including a happy birthday balloon and a jar of cookies! The boat house was spotless, comfortable and beautiful. It is in very picturesque and peaceful location by the water. Jane and Jon were very accommodating and friendly hosts. Will definitely recommend to others and will hopefully be back.

Highly recommended 5*

This couldn’t have been more perfect for us! Jane’s boats offered us everything we needed for our romantic wedding weekend getaway! So many little personal touches that made our stay feel extra special, thank you! The location is just beautiful and is in easy waking distance for exploring the rest of beautiful Ranworth. I can’t fault it, I just can’t wait to come back one day! Highly recommended 5* Many thanks, Sarah and Steve x

We plan to come back for our anniversary

The Boat House gave us the perfect getaway for a few nights after we got married. Jane was exceptionally accommodating – allowing us to drop our car off early before check in time, and being totally unfazed that we wouldn’t arrive again until very late – she even suggested we have a midnight dip in the hot tub when we arrived! She had also kindly left us a bottle of bubbles and some home-made cookies (both were delicious and very welcome at 1am when we arrived!). The Boat House itself is a bit of a tardis! The wetroom inside has plenty of space for all your toileteries, and the underfloor heating was lovely underfoot after running in from the hot tub on a chilly late evening. The little kitchenette had plenty of space for food (and we brought a lot of wedding leftovers!) in the fridge, and on the shelves and surfaces. Equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle and camping hob we had everything we needed for bacon sandwiches for breakfast. In the evenings we took prosecco, a plate of cheese and biscuits and a few of our candles (from home) out to the hot tub for some chill out time stargazing. Also downstairs is a wardrobe complete with iron and ironing board (which having packed in a hurry pre-wedding we used daily!!). Upstairs, there is a huge bed (which was adorned with balloons and a just married banner for us!) which we found very comfortable – complete with beautiful Joules bedlinen. There are also a couple of comfy chairs, and a long desk with 2 dining chairs with beautiful views of the boats over the road. There’s a telly on here too, although we didn’t use it. Wifi is provided and is adequate. We live very locally and had lots of errands to run on a couple of our days, but on our last day we had a whole day exploring Ranworth, which we’d not been to before. The church tower is worth a climb but steel yourself for the narrow, uneven steps and ladders (potentially with an occasional pigeon to keep you company!) – the view from the top is absolutely gorgeous and makes up for the climb! We also took a boat trip around Malthouse and Ranworth broads, taking in the wildlife and finding all about how the broadside is managed – the guide really knew his stuff and the visitor centre afterwards is interesting too (and sells very unusual icecream flavours!). On our way home we stopped for pizza from the Pizza Den at the Maltster Pub over the road – nice pizza but be careful what you ask for on your pizza! I love cheese and asked for extra – I couldn’t find the pizza underneath!!! All in all a lovely few days and we plan to come back for our anniversary next year.

I’d definitely add the hot tub

Jane was super helpful both ahead of our arrival and throughout our stay. The Boathouse really is a fantastic space to relax and unwind! If you’re looking for a romantic getaway then this is the place – there’s so much effort put into the detail. I’d definitely add the hot tub

The Boathouse is a truly special and peaceful hideaway on the Broads

It was the perfect place to celebrate my girlfriend’s 30th birthday. Jane has thought of everything, making the space so cosy and welcoming as well as stylish, and she went over and above to help with extra birthday touches including balloons, a bottle of pink fizz and a delicious homemade carrot cake which were waiting for us on arrival. We took our kayak and had a lovely adventure from Ranworth Staithe just 5 minutes’ walk down the road (Jane even has a trolley available to use if needed). The hot tub was the biggest treat of all on the chilly evenings – we took cheese, fizz and candles to the table outside, sat in the water and moongazed. Fluffy robes are provided to wrap up in when you get out! The Boathouse is also entirely dog-friendly provided they can manage the steepish open-tread stairs. Plenty of room upstairs for a dog bed, and water bowl and biscuits provided. Would recommend the food at the Ship Inn in South Walsham (walkable or a 5-minute drive), where we had a relaxed birthday dinner before heading straight back to the hot tub! Thanks again Jane for such a memorable few days. Rachel, Kelli and Lola x

The perfect place for a quick getaway
Very relaxing, clean, cosy and Jane was amazing, she even prepared a little surprise for my gf’s birthday with a few balloons and a bottle of her favorite wine, bravo! It’s located in a very isolated location, which is perfect for some relaxing time, you can walk around, visit the local church which I recommend because you can climb up the tower and see the amazing view that surrounds that area. And then the jacuzzi is a very nice touch, enough to fit 3/4 people and it’s outdoors so you can have an amazing view at the sky! I would recommend this airbnb to any friend of mine!
