Update 07 December: Welcome to beautiful Norfolk!

Grey Goose Cottage

A delightful fisherman’s cottage very close to Wells Harbour

Grey Goose Cottage is a lovely fisherman’s cottage which sleeps 3, in 2 bedrooms.

The cottage is in a fantastic position in Wells only footsteps away from the quay. Our guests love being in the thick of the village, restaurants and cafes are yards away. (And our younger guests love the pirate play park and ice cream parlour at the end of the road).

Fully centrally heated and completely redecorated this year, the house has a wonderfully sunny, south facing enclosed courtyard in which to relax with a glass or two, after a busy day on the beach.

dog-friendly

Grey Goose Cottage is situated within minutes of the Buttlands where there are fantastic award winning gastropubs.

Wells Quay is a few yards away where you can watch the local fishermen bring in their catches and children can have great fun fishing for crabs off the ‘Albatros’ clipper boat.

We are delighted to see a new ice cream parlour which has opened at the bottom of the street just before you reach the playground.

From Wells Quay you can take the miniature steam train down to Wells beach with its brightly painted huts and if you are lucky, spot a seal or two. Try going later in the afternoon after all the crowds have left for a peaceful swim or walk. Beach huts are available to rent and are in a lovely spot to enjoy the sunset. The beach cafe near the carpark serves lunches, teas and coffees and prides itself on its dog friendliness. There are many other beaches in the area to explore plus lots of pretty inland villages which are best visited by bike if you fancy a slower pace of discovery,

Hello from Jane

My name is Jane and I was born and brought up in lovely Norfolk. I live here with my husband and children, along with a gang of dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, and rabbits. I hope you enjoy this wonderful part of the world as much as we do!

Please get in touch if you would like to enquire about booking a break with Grey Seal Holidays. I am very happy to help with enquiries about the local area and any specific requirements which will make your holiday extra memorable. We welcome dogs and are very family friendly in three of our properties.

Other lovely places to stay

Grey Seal Cottage

Charming sunny cottage, sleeps 4, large garden and off road parking in Wells

Carpenters Cottage

Romantic boutique cottage, sleeps 2 with beautiful garden and parking.

The Boat House

Picturesque retreat in the Norfolk Broads, sleeps 2 with hot tub and views of the Broad.

Wow! A charming, high quality and very special place to stay. The attention to detail and cleanliness are exceptional. So many little touches that were very much appreciated. Lovely views of Ranworth Broad to the front, and to the Church and Alpacas to the rear; and what a treat the Alpacas are to watch from the hot tub… Our only disappointment was that we did not book more nights! Thank you Jane, so much.
