From Grey Seal Cottage you can wander down to the quay and watch the local fishermen bring in their catches whilst children enjoy fishing for crabs off the ‘Albatros’ clipper boat. Wells has a fantastic butcher, greengrocer, deli and baker plus a supermarket, 5 minutes walk away from the house. There is a great selection of pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.
From Wells Quay you can take the miniature steam train down to Wells beach with its brightly painted huts and if you are lucky, spot a seal or two. The beach cafe serves lunches, teas and coffees and prides itself on its dog friendliness. There are many other beaches in the area to explore plus lots of pretty inland villages which are best visited by bike if you fancy a slower pace of discovery.
There is so much to do in Wells and North Norfolk from sailing and bird watching to walking or just relaxing and taking it easy.
